Tasks & Projects

A task is a unit of work for an agent: a title, a description, optionally a project, a priority, a due date and a milestone.

Tasks list

Status Meaning
BACKLOG Captured but not ready — agents don’t start it.
TODO Ready — an assigned agent starts on it.
IN_PROGRESS Being worked on.
IN_REVIEW The agent finished and handed it back for review.
BLOCKED Can’t continue (e.g. its agent was stopped).
DONE Completed.
CANCELLED Dropped.
  • Tasks page: click + New Task, fill in title and description, and optionally pick an agent, a project, a priority, a due date and a milestone (e.g. M1).
  • Home: type what you need in the central prompt, pick an agent and press Send — a task is created and the agent starts immediately.
  • Chat: ask an agent directly; it can create sub-tasks as it works.

Assigning a task to an agent with status TODO or IN_PROGRESS starts the agent on it. You can comment on a task, change its status, clone it, and delete (or restore) it.

Agents hand work to each other by creating tasks for another agent:

  • The assignee starts by itself, with its own identity, budget and memory.
  • The result comes back. When the assignee sets the task to IN_REVIEW or DONE, the agent that delegated it resumes in the conversation that created the task, with the outcome and the assignee’s latest comment. The task page shows Delegated by.
  • Only the assignee — or a person — can complete a task. An agent can’t mark someone else’s task DONE.
  • Tasks created to carry out an approved plan are linked to that approval.

A project groups related tasks and agents around a shared goal, with its own working folder and, optionally, a linked code repository.

Projects list

Create one from Projects → + New Project with a name and description. The project page has three tabs:

Tab Content
Overview Summary, assigned agents, sprints, recent activity
Tasks The project’s tasks, filterable
Repository The linked repository and recent commits

Sprints group a batch of the project’s tasks into a time-box with a goal. They live on the project page — there is no separate Sprints menu:

  1. Click New sprint, give it a name, goal and dates — it starts as PLANNED.
  2. Start it when work begins (ACTIVE).
  3. Complete it when the time-box ends (COMPLETED).

Goals (sidebar → Goals) record what the organisation is trying to achieve; tasks and projects can be linked to them so agents understand the bigger picture. Goals can be nested under a parent goal.

Your plan limits the number of goals per organisation — see Plan and limits.
